Re: PixiVisor 1.6

The download link on the site is serving up v1.2 still. Also, This thread is labeled as "PixiVisor 1.6" instead of 1.3

Considering you just pumped out PixiTracker, PixiVisor, and PixiLang updates in the span of like 2 days, I imagine this is just an oversight.

Hope all is well and, as usual, thank you for all of your hard work. All of your "experiments" (SunVox et al) open the door of self-expression to so many people, and that is an amazing thing.

I cant get it to recognise audio from the microphone
Please make sure that the video format (width and height) of transmitter is equal to the format of receiver

Hi, both mic and line input don't seem to work on my mac. Can it be because of Loopback or something else interfering?
Thanks in advance for any hint
Your software is great (all the apps)!

yes, i've done that. I have all your apps and they work, but i didn't try to record audio in any of them. I will try, just to see if i did the procedure in the right way.

Ok, i tried: Virtual ANS too seems not to get the mic input, while on my ipad it works for recording (here it doesn't get the line input, but only from the mic, but maybe it's another kind of problem). I have all your apps on both devices, but i didn't try them on my android phone. I'll do it with Pixivisor, maybe. Thank you. I hope these annotations can help

What is your macOS version?
Do you use an internal line input port, or some external audio interface (for both input and output)?
Is it selected as "default" in the macOS system settings?

It's Mac OSX 10.15.7 Catalina and i am using the onboard audio. In PixiVisor (and even Virtual ANS) audio properties it shows "default" as input and output. In system preferences the input it's "internal mic", so the onboard microphone. But it's the same if i try using the line in (the headphone jack's one)

Ok, thank you!
Please keep in mind that there is a bug in the current versions of my apps for macOS:
the input can only be enabled once.
For example, in PixiVisor you can open Receiver, then open Transmitter, then go back to Receiver - and here the input will no longer work.
To reopen the input, you will have to restart the application :(
I will definitely fix it in the future...

Also please test these versions of PixiVisor and Virtual ANS:
http://warmplace.ru/temp/pixivisor_test.zip
http://warmplace.ru/temp/virtual_ans3_test.zip
In theory, the system should now recognize that these applications require the mic/line access...

The test versions work great! Thank you very much. They ask for permission to use mic, as expected.
