Karplus-Strong generator for SunVox
Is it planned for future versions?

Re: Karplus-Strong generator for SunVox
Here is a quck and dirty Karplus Strong experiment. Putting into use the recent additon of Pitch2Ctl module.
Just play the INPUT module. Unfortunatelly with the 256 Hz limit in the delay module (TunedDelay) it's playable practically only between C4 and C5. Lower notes still get tuned but not sounding like a string anymore. Notes above C5 are stuck at 256 Hz. Change the brightness of the sound either with the filter of the NoiseGen or the Transpose parameter of the TrigNoise.
Edit: this example is roughly transposed by one octave. Normaly it's the C4 which has frequency of 261.63 Hz.
Does anybody have a clue how to get shorter/faster delay than 256 Hz? That way we could have higher octaves. I know it's possible to tune it higher in ms but for more precised tunig we would need fractions of ms and the whole math would be more complicated.
It's possible to put the Pitch Shifter at the end of the chain though but it doesn't sound too well.

I will increase this limit! :)Unfortunatelly with the 256 Hz limit in the delay module (TunedDelay) it's playable practically only between C4 and C5

Wow, it's gonna be fun! (not that it isn't already) Thanks!

Re: Karplus-Strong generator for SunVox
Seems it is not enough to just increase the limit of the Frequency parameter...
We can now create some simple Echo-based Karplus-Strong generator. But if we want to add the filter to the feedback circuit - we need some another solution, different from the current Feedback module. Feedback have the internal delay of 20 ms - so we only can get 50 Hz frequencies and lower. Not higher.

perhaps a delay slider on the feedback modules, if that's possible?NightRadio wrote:Feedback have the internal delay of 20 ms - so we only can get 50 Hz frequencies and lower. Not higher.

Just for posterity, there's KaStro now with improved implementation of Karplus-Strong concept
