Declicking my patch

Post by a1matt »

Can anyone help me remove the clicks on the attack of my synth patch?

Sendspace: https://we.tl/t-ORk1rqPQHS
Mediafire: http://www.mediafire.com/file/yh030yaqv ... unvox/file

Some background...
It's a simple patch - based on two detuned samples.

If I set 'random phase' to 0 on the 'multi ctl' it gets rid of the clicks, but I also lose the character of the sound.

The random phase also stops the samplers built in volume envelopes from being a solution.

I've spent a couple of hours messing with sound2ctl, and don't know if I am just not adept enough with it, or whether a different approach is needed. (I can explain what I have tried if it helps).

Any input appreciated.

Select the Sampler module, press "Edit" and switch to "Envelopes" tab. Select the Volume envelope.

Set three points for the envelope:
0: line 0, tick 0, Y: 0
1: line 0, tick 1, Y: 1, set it as a sustain point
2: line 0, tick 2, Y: 0

Enable sustain in the menu and enable the envelope. Do this to each sample that has clicks.

Thank you for such a speedy and detailed reply.

I'll give that a go and report back.

Edit - I tried it and it works perfectly. I also now understand the sampler envelopes more. This will open up more options for future sound design.

Edit edit - the finished patch is available in the modules section of the forum:

Thanks again @trackerbound
