'Cycle' mode for MultiSynth

Post by geckojsc » Tue Jan 26, 2016 5:02 pm

Hey, I originally posted this feature request in the development status thread but then realised I should move it here.

I think a 'cycle' mode for the multisynth would be really cool. It triggers a different connected module each time you press a key (playing each module in-order until it runs out, then cycling back to the first one)

This would allow you to design complex polyphonic instruments, for example an instrument where each voice gets its own distortion.

Of course it would take into account which notes are being held, so as not to stop an active voice while there are other unused voices.

This looks a lot like the round-robin mode for multisynth that I was proposing.

And for more or less the same reason as well.

Great minds think alike?

Aha, I missed that! Yeah I love everything that's suggested in your thread :)
