How does the multi synth load the dynamic scales?

Post by cockroach »

okay so I loaded the demos song Dynamic scales. And I can see the scales changing in the multi synth. but looking at the pattern I just see notes and a 7800 controller in there. is this an undocumented feature?
how can I find out how to use this Dynamic scales feature?

Hi!
Please open the MultiSynth options. You will see that each option has its own ID number - these are the controller numbers associated with options.
Option 78 - "Record notes to the scale (curve3)"
How to use it:
1) write 0001 (ON) to controller 78;
2) send some notes to MultiSynth - the new scale will be created from these notes;
3) write 0000 (OFF) to controller 78 to stop recording notes.
This is what you can see in the "Dynamic scales" demo.

Okay wow that's beautiful I see it now.. this is the first time I've realized that options can be controlled in realtime through the tracks.
By the way I've loaded up some of your inspiring projects into meta modules attached to a multisynth and experimenting with the phase controller to start it at a different point when I press the note. There is a lot of power in that! These meta modules really bring sunvox into a whole new level. not even mighty Buzz could do that!
