I use a lot of big samples in the sampler module.
but i dont know how to play a sample from the middle of it, it just plays from the begining.
how can play a sample from other place different from the beginning?
i want to loop part of the big sample, another thing i could not do.

There are a few ways to do this.

One is to use the "07" or "09" effects in patterns, which are both for setting phase, or for setting position within the sample. "07" does it by percentage, "09" does it by number of samples.

Another is to connect a MultiSynth to your Sampler, set the "phase" controller and send notes to the MultiSynth. The note will be passed through to the sampler, but the phase will be set at whatever percentage the MultiSynth's phase controller is set at, like the "07" effect does.

As for looping the sample, you can't update the loop points from pattern effects as far as I know... but you can go into the sample editor, highlight the part of the waveform that you want to loop, then press the menu button in the sample editor (or right click inside the sample editor) and select "set loop". Then you can drag the loop start/end points.

I meant, how to listen to the sample while editing, in a preview.
For example, I want to find the point of my sample, but I don't want to start listening to the music from the beginning, how do I listen to music other than the starting point?

Another question that came to my mind was: I realized that the 'loop' function works great for small samples playing continuously and the selected loop from start to finish, but for larger samples where you need to select middle parts of the sample, does not work. what am I doing wrong?

One way to listen to a sample from somewhere that's not in the beginning, while editing the sampler:

1. Create a MultiSynth, and connect it to the Sampler.
2. Open up the Sampler's editor and go to the sample you want to work with.
3. Select the MultiSynth.
4. Now send notes to the MultiSynth, and adjust its Phase controller (07).

You will see that the playback start position in the sample editor reflects the phase you've set.

As for your second question, SunVox doesn't currently have a way to play back in the middle of a sample if you start playback somewhere after the sample is triggered in the timeline.

One possible workaround for that is to retrigger a long sample at certain points in your timeline, setting the phase accordingly.
