SunVox freezes when loading a mp3 in background [FIXED in 2.0]

Post by Lilith »

When starting sunvox from the terminal (in Ubuntu 20.04) with

Code: Select all

sunvox
everything works fine, but when starting sunvox with

Code: Select all

sunvox &
it freezes when loading a mp3 into the sampler and (other running sounds stutter).

This is the terminal output I get:

Code: Select all

sunvox &

Possibly this has nothing to do with sunvox and I found a similar issue here:

Mp3 is not a supported file type.
At least it's that way in the GUI. I imagine terminal is the same.

You are right, this is exactly the same problem. I will fix it in SunVox 2.0

Any audio formats can be loaded in Windows, Linux and macOS in case of installed ffmpeg or avconv (terminal-based AV converters)
