Synths for SUNVOX 2.1

Post by NightRadio »

If you want to see your own modules (synths) in the new SunVox - please upload the files in this thread (attach it to the message, or provide the links). The most beautiful and original modules will be included in the release.
By uploading you agree that your modules can be used freely (without any restrictions, including commercial works) by any user of the SunVox.

Requirements
  • Optimize your modules (if it does not lead to significant loss of sound quality)
  • Pure synths (without samples) are recommended.
  • Don't use registered trademarks in names.
  • File name format: [ one word for the author nickname ] [ space ] [ synth name ].sunsynth
    Examples:
    NR Super Generator.sunsynth
    cube48 Deep Bass.sunsynth
    KidLoFi Some Synth.sunsynth
Thank you!

absurdly fast drum roll

Iiiiiit's,

drum roll stops

Another supersaw! This time, however, it's focused around a single generator while having detuned layers going 4 octaves high, giving it a feel kind of like how Camellia makes his supersaws.

Here's a very "early-2000s" reese bass, the kind of sound you'd expect to hear in drum-and-bass music. Crank up the saturation on your amen breaks and you'll have "the sound".

Adjustable noise generator

Post by philipbergwerf »

Hi!

I made a noise generator with the following idea. normal noise is generating a random pulse at a certain Hz. But this one generates every sample probably a random voltage depending on the density controller. It generates noise for two speakers. You can set the spread controller to choose between stereo or mono. With a low density it sounds like sparks. below all controllers and what they do:
  • Attack
  • Decay
  • Sustain level
  • Release
  • Fine volume
  • Stereo spread; Choose between mono, stereo or somewhere in between
  • Density (Hz); The amount of pulses every second close to Hz
  • Pulse variation; Random velocity for each pulse/voltage

this is a random metal hit or bell generator. technically there are 8000h individual patches. this one uses a random graph for the multictrl so when you find a patch you like, just remember the patch# and you can easily go back to it again. also, you can set the input from 1-9 and get the different partials of the patch, good for accenting.

have fun

Re: CaRaCaRa

CaRaCaRa based on my older predecessor called Alternator (The pad sound in Mech Haven) which is inspired from a user oscillator used in Korg Minilogue XD, Two:

The idea of Two is to alternate between two waveform of choice in every cycle, and you can control the phase of each partial using LFOs and envelopes in Minilogue, resulting in a complex, evolving sound.

I tired to replicate such oscillator in SunVox, using negative detectors; however, the application was a bit limited because the sound was harsh. Since we have gotten the FMX in the latest SunVox update, I decided to rework the module using FMX to simplify the core part of the synth and added a pairs of LFOs and envelopes to manipulate the amount self modulation and phase, along with two different noise type to make it more versatile.

The name CaRaCaRa came from a bird of prey that relates to falcon, and I chose it because the name has an alternating pattern which is perfect to describe the behavior of the module.

That's all about it. I made a simple demo to demonstrate the sound of the module, and I have prepared a factory preset to show some of the possibilities. To use the preset, connect the preset module to the synth and play a note in the preset module to switch sound.

4 voice polyphonic drum machine loop.

This is a patch to help people get a tune started. This has a basic drum pattern with 4 parts, and patches. it is all ran through a 4 voice Karplus Strong synth. the idea is to strum out some chords and twist up some rhythm settings to have something to modcode around into a proper tune. there is really only 4 rhythms in this so if you need a specific one, dive into this metamodule and edit the single pattern to your liking and/or twist it up with the spicy settings...

good luck, and have a lot of fun!
cheers!

back in the day, when i wanted a string section sounding instrument in IT, i just loaded the slowstring.xi sample (or whatever it was) out of the demo song, took a single loop of it, put some lowpass, vibrato, and long tail volume envelope on it and i was done. i did this about 1 million times in every tune i did... i'm sure you know the drill.

here is that same sound, polyphonic... i say that but it gets funny with the way i did it, has vibrato has stuff, i donno. just sounds like that cheezy string sound from the 90's with reverb.

cheers!

Hi!!!

Morphin'Tone is a simple rotating 8 voices multiplexer.
The voices are smoothly crossed, inside the module you can change PAN, WAVEFORM, VOLUME, etc. for each voice.
As external parameter you have only the "LineFreq" that changes the voice frequency switching.
Each voice is poliphonic (up to 8 notes together).

...test it in the example!!!

That’s all, have fun!!!
