UPDATE 2022/2023: this module as posted here is out of date, please go to my github repo to get the latest version of this module: https://github.com/autumncheney/sunvox-modules
here's a sunsynth for designing acoustic-sounding cymbals, including rides, crashes, and everything in between!
it works by taking a sampled noise impluse, sending it through a bandpass filter, and then giving it reverb with a very small room size; this acts as a resonator. it then goes through another filter and reverb set, and lastly a compressor.
many useful controls are available. to start, try changing the phase and reverb seeds. you can also adjust the "random phase" and "random pitch" controls to get a different sound every time. leave the compressor threshold high to get a ride, and lower it to make a crash
this is under the mit license, which means that if you modify and distribute the module, do credit me and say that this was originally under the mit license. you don't have to credit me if you just use it in a song

Re: cymbal designer
here's a little tool for making your own rides and crashes. just adjust the value on the multictl to change the phase of the noise impluses and get new sounds! you can adjust the release times and filter parameters for even more customization, to start
