Nevermind, I see that you can move the playing position in the timeline editor even while playback is stopped. Still seems a bit cumbersome but not too terrible

That is going to require precise timing and trial and error to do something that should be easy.
Confirmed, even with the ability to move the "knife" position on the timeline, in WinCE it is a pain with my stylus, I made a pattern that was 128 lines long and tried to cut it at 64 but after about 1 minute of fiddling with it I still could not get my knife position at 64, it would always be like 62 or 70
It would be cool if you could double-click to slice a pattern. Perhaps adhering to the "Snap to Grid" functionality, as well (so that you don't end up slicing a pattern at line 15 instead of line 16)? The 'slice to playhead' method would probably work fine if there was some way to precisely move the playhead (maybe with the arrow keys).
Where does that actually show up on the screen??? I can't figure it out.
In the mobile version try to click on any text field.
any way you would consider an option to disable the music keyboard too?
May be :) Never think about this. Do you think it is really necessary feature? At least on mobile version with the small screen you can't write the music without this keyboard.
The selected line in the pattern editor may be more precise for the knife position ?
I think this may be an additional feature. One knife in the Timeilne, and other in Pattern Editor.

Oh! I hate that thing too!!!! Glad to have it gone

Well... Mobile for me is the Mobilepro which has a 8 inch screen. So I would say if I'm in a minority of users who would want to disable it, don't worry about it. Especially since the majority of mobile devices these days are touchscreen only with no keyboard input, it makes sense to have the onscreen music keyboard, definitely
