Still no Android midi? 7 years later?

Post by MommonRa »

Honestly....is it just not gonna happen?

Should I uninstall Sunvix and exclusively use the the other music making apps (GStomper, Caustic, ect...) that have implemented this feature?

Saw promises from 2013 about making this happen. Is the developer swamped with his own music, life, and other programming projects?

I've been lusting over this midi input for almost a whole decade! How can this be so feature packed and then REFUSE THW FINAL FEATURE TO MAKE IT PERFECT?

Enigmas.

Something like that. :) I need to constantly update several projects (including the SunVox). There are many features not yet implemented (including MIDI for Android) - i sort them by priorities, depending on the number of requests and their complexity. So it will be implemented one day, but i can't say when exactly, sorry.
At least I can say that the work does not stop, and i really hope that MIDI support will be added in the next updates :)

If adding my voice here makes it happen a bit sooner, then here's my voice as well. It would be really cool to have midi support on Android.

Add me to the list too. MIDI for Android would be great. The sampler module alone is worth it. Other than that, SunVox is perfect.

And let me say thank you for all the rest of the apps that you make, including SunVox of course.

I recall a certain tweet by the dev saying all his apps with have midi support starting with Virtual ANS. However id rather see new modules over anything else honestly. You can still hook up your keyboard and mouse to Android and use that right now if you wanted. That gives you 2 octives with the keyboard
