Unable to run SunVox: Linux KXStudio

Post by nunrgguy » Fri Oct 12, 2018 11:10 pm

Hi
Im having a spot of bother getting Sunvox to run on the latest KXStudio 64 bit 14.04.5
./sunvox gives the error libmvec.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I believe there's one or two files within the library which are no longer part of Ubuntu based distros..

Any ideas?

Update: no worries with this. As it was ealry days in the install and I wasn't feeling KXStudo I've changed to Ubuntu studio - which is a newer Distro. SunVox working A-OK on that.

I had the exact same problem as you mentioned. I figured out that kxstudio isn’t updated with more recent required libraries and the only way to have SunVox to work properly would be to travel back in time and try earlier versions, see how it goes...
