I've read a couple of threads about this but nothing seems to work I'd expect a music app to. Why isn't my audio interface selectable in the prefs (like PC)? I get that setting it system wide is straightforward - and the outputs 1+2 works, but I can choose any input from my interface. Nor can I change the buffer size, which is stuck at 512 samples. Also driver is Audio Unit? Strange!
Weirdness with audio prefs on macOS Sierra
Re: Weirdness with audio prefs on macOS Sierra
On Mac, SunVox at startup begins using channel 1/2 of whatever input was selected at the time (in System Preferences or Audio MIDI Setup).
This is pretty standard across Mac apps I've noticed. Reaper, for example, asks you to restart after changing your audio interface.
There has been some discussion here and there asking to extend the Input module further. If you have some ideas of your own, please post them to the feature requests section, so that there's a higher chance of them being implemented.
