I've been experimenting lately with converting Soundfonts to XI to import into Sunvox.

Probably once 1.7 comes out and has more sample slots, I will do more of these conversions and put them up somewhere to share.

Are there any decent tools for this or are you building something?

You can get a huge, totally free acoustic drum sample pack here: http://rekkerd.org/nsa-custom-series-dr ... aka-nekro/

Hey, sorry for not responding earlier. I was using a utility to do it. Now I totally forgot what it was called. I'm getting a larger memory card in the mail this week for my Mobilepro, so I will be spending some time getting quite a lot of samples converted to .xi format.

I'll keep this thread updated with my progress. :)

I haven't done any new conversions yet, because I found this excellent .xi resource:

http://forums.modarchive.org/index.php?topic=3179.0

Apparently this old site "Kiarchive" used to host a very large collection of xi format instruments with something like almost 900mb (around 8000 instruments). Unfortunately the site went down long ago, but fortunately for us, modarchive has saved the day with a well seeded torrent. I just checked it out a little while ago and there are some really nice sounding instruments there, all of which work inside Sunvox :)

THANK YOU for this link - I never would have found it otherwise. I'm virus-checking it now (can never be too careful)!

EDIT: Finished virus-checking it (it passed), and made a song to test it out. The sounds are pretty great!

Searching for a wobble bass, I stumbled upon Analoge Gen. Wow, what a a nice sounding filter you've implemented here !!! What kind of algorithm is that ?!

Here is an example:

Hi all,

here is some sampled instruments for sunvox in *.sunsynth format. All samples were created by Jovica I believe (but I may be wrong). I only made sunsynths.

I don’t have demos for all instruments, only for rhodes, sorry about that :)

Rhodes (demo)

Electric Piano

Grandmither Piano (old and detuned)

Drumkit-1 (starting from C6)

Enjoy!

I downloaded the xi sample files from KIA and I am now wondering how to import it into my ipad?

I already have imported WAV samples, and it seems easy, the only bad part is importing 4 samples at a time and no batch import.

But for this 500 meg folder, there seems like no way I could import all these files. Am i missing something? Any tips would be great.

Man I don't even know what to say except there must be something about the software on the ipad that is limiting you. I've never been a fan of Apple and I'm even less so nowadays.

Think I got it sorted. I can import via Itunes and that should solve it.

Definitely not limited on the ipad, it is a killer app. The best music making app I have used on iOS.

@ pioneer, i think you can use ifunbox for batch importing files and placing them in a new folder within sunvox (not 100% sure though). otherwise youll need to jailbreak and use cydia ifile. thats what i did last time. dont think you can do it with the latest update ios though.
